Colorado Companies Supporting Racial Equity

Colorado companies are utilizing their resources to advance racial equity. From conversation spaces for team members to donating funds and even offering free products and series to organizations advancing this work.


AT&T released its Everyone is Part of the Story, annual diversity and inclusion (D&I) report showcasing its culture of inclusion and stories of employees living out companies values.

Blackbaud, KPMG, Southwest Airlines and Xcel Energy released statements emphasizing equality and condemning racism.

Fidelity Investments has created a D&I resource center that includes community engagement ideas, employee resource group (ERG) information, ways to become more inclusive in our work and lives and more. Fidelity Investments is also changing their recruiting, supporting development of underrepresented leaders, committing to diversifying suppliers and vendors even more and matching donations 2-to-1 by associates to organizations supporting racial equity.
PNC Financial Services is committing more than $1 billion to community development financing and charitable support to help end systemic racism across the country.

S&P Global is taking the following actions, tripling the number of full-time D&I professionals, doubling financial investments in D&I initiatives and ERGs, expanding inclusion training and contributing $1 million to organizations that support equity and racial justice.

U.S. Bank will increase new lending to Black-owned businesses, establish a $15 million fund dedicated to address systemic economic and racial inequalities, provide eight additional paid volunteer time off hours for employees to support recovery efforts and commit to refined talent management strategy to develop and promote people of color.

Apply for Leadership Programs

Now more than ever, we are witnessing the importance of leadership in Colorado. We have seen how we can rally together to respond to a crisis, and it’s inspiring to see our leaders collaborate to take care of our community. 

We want our community’s leaders to have the knowledge, network, skills and experiences to enhance their leadership and be ready to respond to any crisis. Applications are open for our partner, the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation’s Impact Denver fall 2020 class and Leadership Denver 2021 class. To apply for a scholarship, complete the request for financial support in the program application.
 
As the region’s premier leadership program, Leadership Denver transforms actively engaged civic leaders into community champions through in-depth experiences with a close network of new personal and professional relationships that last a lifetime. Apply for the Leadership Denver 2021 class by July 8.

 

Impact Denver puts up-and-coming professionals on the fast track, learning about community issues, discovering their leadership style and completing a community project. B:CIVIC members receive $100 discount on tuition. Apply by July 16 to receive early bird discount. Apply for the Impact Denver fall 2020 class by Aug. 4.
