RK Foundation:

Building Better Lives by
Strengthening Communities

For over 50 years, RK has supported numerous non-profit and charitable organizations that improve the quality of life in our community.

Since 2011, we have continued this proud tradition of philanthropy through the RK Foundation. We recycle scrap metal generated in our fabrication facilities and from projects across RK’s seven business units, and all funds generated support the work of the RK Foundation.
The RK Foundation has granted $90,581 since January 2019 with a cumulative total of $1,380,802 to date! Each quarter, the RKF Board of Directors reviews grant applications and determines which organizations best align with our core advocacy areas and our mission to build better lives by strengthening communities and providing opportunities for those most in need.
THE RKF RECOGNIZED BY CCD FOR CONTINUED SUPPORTThe Community College of Denver (CCD) provides  opportunities to gain quality higher education and achieve personal and professional success in a supportive and inclusive environment. CCD promotes excellence in teaching, learning, and service to a diverse community and enrolls over 8,000 students each year in its Auraria and Lowry campuses and online.

The RKF was recognized by the CCD as the Sustainability Champion at the annual Breakfast of Champions for our long-standing support. For the past five years, the RKF has supported the Advanced Manufacturing Center, which has allowed the institution to develop new curriculum, hire additional instructors and diversify the training offered. The continued support from RKF has helped increase enrollment and grow the Advanced Manufacturing Center.

PUPPIES VISIT RK FOR MAXFUND ANIMAL ADOPTION EVENTMaxFund Animal Adoption Center is a non-profit animal shelter location in Denver. Started in 1988, this organization provides medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and finds loving forever homes for these animals once they have recovered.

During April’s National Volunteer Month, RK hosted a dog adoption event at our headquarters. RK employees generously donated food, dog beds, blankets, toys and money to MaxFund. Several dogs were adopted, making it a hugely successful day! The RK Foundation was also excited to support the great work of MaxFund with an additional monetary donation.
