DENVER—The honorees of the inaugural Civic 50 Colorado were announced Thursday afternoon following the B:CIVIC Summit. The honorees are:

Three companies were also recognized as sector leaders: Denver Community Credit Union (small business), AAA Colorado (medium-sized business) and KeyBank (large business). Among Civic 50 Colorado companies, 51 percent of employees participated in organization-sponsored volunteerism, spending on average, over 10 hours per employee – rates of participation that are higher than the national average.
“These companies are committed to Colorado, and are making an impact. Together, their teams donated more than 400,000 hours of volunteer time and contributed $37 million,” said Kristy Judd, CEO of Spark the Change Colorado.
Colorado is the first state to offer these awards locally, recognizing companies of all sizes, determined by a survey led by True Impact. Since 2012, The Civic 50, an initiative of Points of Light, has recognized the 50 most community-minded corporation in the nation.
“Giving back is ingrained in how they do business, and through The Civic 50 Colorado they will help other businesses understand how they can do more in the community,” said Erin Atwell, CEO of Community Shares of Colorado.
