B:CIVIC founding member, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, has had an annual tradition of cleaning out their closets and donating clothes to The University of Colorado’s Boots to Suits program. In past years, women at the law firm had been the primary donors, and this year the men upped their donations to donate about 50 suits.
The University of Colorado Denver’s Boots to Suits program facilitates a student’s transition from the military to the classroom to the workforce. Through the school’s Veteran & Military Student Services, along with support from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the program offers peer-to-peer mentoring, tutoring, scholarships and mental health wellness resources.
Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, a local law firm, recently donated 12 boxes of professional clothing to the program. In the boxes were about 50 men’s suits and jackets of various sizes, slacks, shirts, belts, shoes, too many ties to count and several women’s outfits.
