Elevate Ethics: Ethical Leadership in American Business — A Dialogue

What do leaders of some of America’s largest and most successful corporations think about ethical standards in American business today? Plan to come and hear what three senior executives from three diverse industries and backgrounds have to say about ethical leadership in today’s business climate. To encourage national and international participation, the event will also be live streamed using Century Link’s global IP network. If you will be attending Elevate Ethics in person, a reception including appetizers and beverages will follow the event.

Panel:

David Eves: David Eves is Executive Vice President, group president – Utilities and president of Xcel Energy – Colorado. He also serves as a director of Public Service Company of Colorado. He currently serves on the board of trustees for Mile High United Way, the board of directors of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, and the Mountain States Employers Council.

Nancy K. Buese: Nancy K. Buese is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Newmont Mining. She most recently served as Executive Vice President and CFO for MPLX, a publicly traded energy company and 11 years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MarkWest. Ms. Buese also is a former Partner with Ernst & Young.

Peter Lorenzen: Peter Lorenzen is IBM’s General Manager, Global Technology Services, Networking with global responsibility for strategy, sales, and delivery. As IBM Colorado’s Senior State Executive, Pete is responsible for IBM’s relationship with both State and Federal agencies and IBM employees. Pete serves as a member of both the Colorado Chapter of the March of Dimes Board of Directors and the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Leeds School of Business Advisory Board.

Moderator:

The panel will be moderated by Doug Scrivner, Chairman of the University of Denver Board of Trustees and former General Counsel for Accenture.
