B:CIVIC launched its first ever Summit on September 29, 2016, attracting the state’s brightest Corporate Social Responsibility professionals to build the community of corporate philanthropy and CSR professionals. Focused on “Sparking Collaboration and Igniting Impact,” the Summit began with a Welcome from Governor Hickenlooper who also proclaimed it to be B:CIVIC Day throughout Colorado.
The Summit was created to shine a light on the importance of CSR, explore the business imperative of corporate philanthropy and employee community engagement, provide concrete guidance on best practices, and create connections among attendees that would propel their work and the field of CSR.

More than a dozen 30- minute Huddle sessions were held covering topics such as “Making the Business Case for CSR,” “Developing and Maintaining Strategic Partnerships” and “Making the Most of Skilled-Based Volunteers.” Huddle facilitators* were CSR professionals from 18 metro-Denver companies and organizations.
